The "Repair vs. Replace" Consultation
Since specialty items can be expensive or rare, we offer:
-
Visual Inspection: We offer a quick look to see if we can determine if the board is too damaged for repair.
-
Cost-Benefit Analysis: We’ll be honest with you. If the repair costs more than a replacement, we’ll let you know.
-
Obsolete Tech Support: We specialize in fixing tech that the manufacturer no longer supports.
Bench Fee & Diagnostic Transparency
Our Process for Unique Electronics. Because specialty items and "unfixable" gadgets often require custom diagnostics and manual circuit tracing, we follow a transparent two-step process:
The Free "Quick Look": Bring your item in! We will take a look at the exterior and the general symptoms to see if it’s a project we can take on.
The Deep Dive (Bench Fee): If the repair requires us to disassemble the device, perform specialized testing, or trace circuits on a board a Bench Fee is required.
Why a Bench Fee? This covers the technician’s time and expertise required to identify the exact point of failure. If you choose to move forward with the repair, this fee is applied toward your final repair total.
