 What Is Microsoldering?
Microsoldering is board-level repair under a microscope. When the issue is on the logic board (not just a screen or battery), we repair tiny components and traces to bring devices back to life—and save your data whenever possible.

At Geekmatics, we can repair damaged chips, burnt connectors, and even restore power to “dead” devices that other shops give up on. It's ultra-precise work, but it can save your data—and your device.

FAQs

Do you do true microsoldering?
Yes—board-level work under a microscope: I/O & ports (USB-C/USB-A, HDMI, DC-in/charge jacks), FPC/FFC connectors, backlight/no-touch/boost circuits, trace/pad/via repairs, SMD rework, and BGA reball/reflow.

Which devices do you repair?
iPhone • iPad • MacBook • Windows laptops/PCs • Xbox/PlayStation/Nintendo • LG/Sony & more.

What problems do you fix most often?
No power/no image • charging/USB-C/Tristar/power IC faults • backlight/no-display/no-touch • HDMI port damage (PS5/Xbox) • trace/pad rebuilds • Windows laptop motherboard issues (no power, charging, BIOS/EC).

Can you save my data?
Often, yes. Board-level repair can bring a device back long enough to extract or preserve data. Tell us if data is the priority and we’ll plan for that first.

What’s the usual turnaround?
Many board jobs complete in 2–5 business days. Common non-board repairs can be same-day when parts are in stock.

Do you warranty your work?
Yes—once we can fully test after the repair (we’ll ask for the passcode so we can test properly), we warranty our workmanship.

Do you need my passcode?
Providing the passcode lets us verify every function after the board work. Without it, we can still repair—but full testing and warranty coverage may be limited.

Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome. For ship-ins, please use our Ship-In Form and include it in the box.

Do you accept mail-in/ship-in repairs?
Yes—nationwide. Use the Ship-In Form and send to: 32730 US Hwy 19 N, Palm Harbor, FL 34684.

What if it turns out not to be a board-level issue?
No problem—we’ll let you know and offer the best next step (standard repair, replacement options, or data-only). You choose.

Is microsoldering worth it vs replacing?
Often yes—especially when data matters or replacement is expensive. We’ll price repair vs replace so you can decide.

Will my device keep its water resistance after repair?
We reseal devices carefully, but once opened we can’t guarantee factory water resistance.
